- Variable interpolation: Embed variables in triple braces (
{{{first_name}}}) and pass their values intemplate.variableswhen you send through the API. Campaigns and workflows can also read contact fields directly ({{contact.first_name}}). Values are HTML-escaped when they are inserted into the HTML body, so a value like<b>Ada</b>shows as text rather than markup.
