Connect VS Code to Reloop
Add the Reloop MCP server to GitHub Copilot agent mode in Visual Studio Code.
Add Reloop to Visual Studio Code so GitHub Copilot in agent mode can send email, manage contacts, and check your Reloop setup from the editor.
Prerequisites
- VS Code with GitHub Copilot and agent mode available
- A Reloop account
- A verified domain if you want to send email
Setup
Add the server
The quickest way is the Install in VS Code button on the VS Code page in your dashboard.
Or add this to .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace:
{
"servers": {
"reloop": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://reloop.sh/mcp"
}
}
}Start and sign in
Click Start above the server in mcp.json, or run MCP: List Servers from the Command Palette and start reloop. VS Code asks you to sign in to Reloop in the browser. Sign in, choose the organization VS Code can access, and approve.
Verify it works
Run MCP: List Servers. reloop shows as running. Open Copilot Chat in Agent mode and click the tools icon; the Reloop tools are listed. Then ask something read-only:
"List my Reloop domains and tell me which ones are verified."
Example prompts
- "Add a new contact with their name and email."
- "Send a batch of onboarding emails to these five new users."
- "List all emails I sent today and show their delivery status."
See more example prompts.
