[Claude Code](https://docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/claude-code) is Anthropic's coding agent for the terminal. Once you add Reloop, Claude Code can send email, manage contacts, check domains, and more from your terminal session.

## Prerequisites

- Claude Code installed and signed in
- A [Reloop account](https://reloop.sh/dashboard)
- A [verified domain](https://reloop.sh/dashboard/domain) if you want to send email

## Setup

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add the Reloop server">
Run this in your terminal:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http reloop https://reloop.sh/mcp
```

This adds Reloop to the current project. Add `--scope user` to make it available in every project:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user reloop https://reloop.sh/mcp
```
  </Step>
  <Step title="Sign in">
Start Claude Code and run:

```text
/mcp
```

Pick **reloop** and choose **Authenticate**. Your browser opens the Reloop sign-in page. Sign in, choose the organization Claude Code can access, and approve.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Verify it works

Run `/mcp` again. **reloop** should show as connected, with its tools listed. From your shell, `claude mcp list` also shows the server and its status.

Then ask something read-only to confirm it reaches your organization:

> "List my Reloop domains and tell me which ones are verified."

## Example prompts

- "Send a welcome email to user@example.com with a personalized greeting."
- "Add a new contact for jane@example.com named Jane Doe."
- "List all emails I sent today and show their delivery status."

See [more example prompts](/docs/integrations/ai-tools/mcp-prompts).

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Claude Code shows reloop as needing authentication">
    Run `/mcp`, pick **reloop**, and choose **Authenticate** again. If sign-in keeps failing, choose **Clear authentication** first, then authenticate.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Tools act on the wrong organization">
    Clear authentication from `/mcp`, authenticate again, and pick the right organization on the consent screen. You can also pin an organization with a header:

```bash
claude mcp remove reloop
claude mcp add --transport http reloop https://reloop.sh/mcp \
  --header "x-organization-id: YOUR_ORGANIZATION_ID"
```
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="reloop doesn't appear in /mcp">
    You may have added it in a different project. Run `claude mcp list` in the project you're working in, or add it again with `--scope user`.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="I'd rather use an API key">
    Use the [local server](/docs/integrations/ai-tools/mcp-server#local-server-stdio):

```bash
claude mcp add reloop --env RELOOP_API_KEY=rl_prod_your_api_key -- npx -y reloop-mcp
```
  </Accordion>
