Reloop is the email service / infrastructure (ESP + MTA). It is not a multi-ESP connector that sits on SendGrid, Mailgun, Resend, or SES.

## FAQ

### Is useSend the same as Unsend?

Yes. useSend is the current name of the project formerly called Unsend. The code lives at github.com/usesend/useSend.

### Do I need AWS to self-host Reloop?

No. Reloop runs its own mail server, so you need a server and DNS, not an AWS account. useSend's self-hosted setup requires Amazon SES and SNS.

### Which is cheaper?

On the hosted plans, Reloop is cheaper below about 250k emails a month and useSend is cheaper well above that for transactional mail. Self-hosted, Reloop has no per-email cost, while useSend passes through SES fees.

### Can useSend receive email?

Not yet. Inbound email is listed on its roadmap. Reloop receives mail into threaded mailboxes you can read over the API, MCP or IMAP.

### Which license is more permissive?

Reloop's Apache 2.0. useSend's AGPL-3.0 requires you to publish changes if you offer a modified version to others over a network.
