## FAQ

### Is Reloop cheaper than Elastic Email?

At 50,000 emails a month, yes: $10 on Reloop vs $19 on Elastic Email's Starter API plan, or $49 if you need webhooks and inbound. At millions of emails a month, Elastic Email's volume pricing may be lower, so compare at your real volume.

### Do both have a free plan?

Yes. Reloop's free tier is 6,000 emails a month, capped at 200 a day. Elastic Email's free API plan is 3,000 a month, capped at 100 a day, and keeps logs for 3 days.

### Does Elastic Email support inbound email?

Yes, inbound email processing is part of its Pro API plan ($49/mo). Reloop receives mail on every plan into stored, threaded mailboxes you can read over the API, MCP or IMAP.

### Can I use Reloop over SMTP like Elastic Email?

Yes. Use smtp.reloop.sh on port 587 with STARTTLS, and your API key as both the username and the password.

### Is Elastic Email open source?

No. Elastic Email is a hosted service. Reloop is open source under Apache 2.0 and can run on your own server.
